![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The conclusion drawn from the findings of the study was that the selected books of Bob Ong had a great impact in teaching the problems faced by proletariats especially in social studies subjects.The researchers recommend toengage the integral knowledge to the students about the problems faced by the working class in the country as cited in the three books of Bob Ong through different methods such as surveys, interviews, conducting and attending seminars and panel discussions. With the identified rampant maladies in the life of proletariats, it is clear that the author made the books to address the government as well as citizens of the country to have an active participation in the society. And lastly, the book “Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin”’’ tackled the unequal treatment in the society, prevalence of continued injustice, luxurious lifestyle, terrible effects of media, and the innovation of education. ![]() The book “Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas”tackled gambling, graft and corruption in the government, gangster capitalism, absence of job security, proliferation of illegal drugs and the provision of education on middle class, while “Bakit Baliktad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino?”, discussed issues on colonial mentality, political risks that deter investment in the country, widespread poverty, displacement of workers in communities, discrimination of the working class, flexibilization, informalization and migration, poor economic performance, and the value of education among proletariats. The books “Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas”, “Bakit Baliktad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino?”, and “Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin” have composite themes presented in the aspect of cultural, political, socio-economic and educational problems of the working class. The elements found in the book reflected the feelings of the author had when he wrote the poems. These books of Bob Ong used figures of speech such as metaphor, hyperbole and irony. The findings revealed that the three books of Bob Ong sought the different issues in the different aspects of society in which the working class are directly engaged and affected. This thesis entitled “Proletarianism in the Selected Works of Bob Ong” used sociological approach, humanistic approach and summative content analysis in revealing the rampant issues and problems that the proletariats are facing in the contemporary time in the books “Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas”, “Bakit Baliktad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino?”, and “Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin”.
